Happy Sunday!  It’s a perfect stormy Sunday morning… I’m the only one awake in the house and I’m so enjoying my quiet time.  I’ve already gotten one page done…

I just love the bold tropical colors in WM [Squared]‘s Tropical Paradise and it was perfect to scrap those photos of Lindsay playing on the water slide.

New… out this week… eNKay Design has a collab with Connie Prince that is AWESOME!  Check it out here:

When I saw this kit I know I had to use it to scrap my friend’s Buddy Baseball photos!

If you have a minute… make sure to stop by the SCRAPABLE FORUMS this week.  I’m hosting the New Scraplift Challenge this week!

From now until the next time… HAPPY SCRAPPING EVERYONE!

hmmmm…

Today I figured out how to add widgets to my blog… note the addition of linked fan blinkies. One task down… now to figure out how to customize my blog… I want a personalized header and background as well as any other goodies I can find.

I haven’t done any scrapping today… so no new kits or pages to post today… maybe I’ll get some done later for tomorrow.

On my list of things to do today… several errand I need to do today… I guess I should start with getting off of here :)

Til Next Time!

I’m so bad about keeping up with this blog… I can’t promise that I’ll do better… might help if I actually find a use for this thing… maybe to show off what I’ve found or what I’ve done… change my way of thinking you know.

Anyways… here’s what I’ve been doing recently – VACATION! Well our trip to Indiana went well… bit long but that’s to be expected when we have so much to see and do.

In scrapping news… I was picked for a guest spot at ScrapMatters for January 2011… yippie… so look for me there!

With my vacation, I’m just now getting back into the swing of scrapping… my mojo was slow to start… I guess it wasn’t ready for the vacation to end. :)

First up… Modern June’s new kit – Happiness Is. What a fabulous kit – awesome colors and embellishments.

Get it either at Scrapable and Digi Scrapbook Mania.  Now check out my page with this amazing kit:

Next… is the totally awesome Scrapable’s August Mega Collab – Cottage Country!  This kit is just jam packed with goodies!

Here’s my beautiful page… I couldn’t resist using this awesome family picture of my dear friend and her family:

I’m sure that I’ll find more to write about later… until then…

I scrapped today… I just loved how into the worm lindsay was in these pictures but I wanted a girly layout… I think I got it…

Smile!

Here’s my latest page…

My Layout for May Portfolio Challenge No. 4 – “Smile” – Scrap it in honor of May being National Smile Month. TFL!

Journaling is a poem written by Linda LaTourelle. It reads:

“Smiling is infectious, you can catch it like the flu. When someone smiles at you, you’ll start smiling too. A simple little smile comes from i…nside out. It feels so warm and good you no longer want to pout. So when you feel like crying, remember don’t look down. Just put a happy smile on and throw away that frown. Keep a cheerful attitude and give those you know a lift. When you do, you’ll find it was you who got the gift.”

:)

I’m just not very good at keeping up with this… I was never good at keeping a journal either.

Last night was Lindsay Spring Program.  Not only did her class as well as the other first grade classes but the third and fifth grade classes all perform five songs… it was a long night.  I do wish that it was a better photo opportunity… the lighting really wasn’t the greatest and the seats were so far back from the stage.  I remember a couple of the Spring programs that I did as a kid… one was the Wizard of Oz (I got the dress up as Dorothy) and a 50′s night (I got to wear a poodle skirt and saddle shoes).  Too bad I don’t have any photos of those nights.

Alright… I have finally broke down and joined the world of blogging.  I don’t know who all will be reading my blog… but it’s here.  It still remains to be seen how well I will do at keeping up with it.

I wish I could say that my life is amazing… but I’m just an ordinary woman… with a military husband… two darling daughters… one dashound mix dog… and a passion for Digi-Scrapping.

I really don’t know what the future holds for this blog… as a child I was never good at keeping a journal/diary… which is what I feel this is an extention of… so I’ll have to figure it out as I go along.
